Data Analyst (Business-Facing / Data Prep) - Remote

Overview

CompassX is seeking a high-energy Data Analyst to support three major AI initiatives, focusing on data groundwork for a ServiceNow Software Asset Management module implementation. This role emphasizes business communication and data preparation rather than heavy engineering.

In Short

• Collect and extract data from diverse sources to support the SAM module.
• Validate datasets for accuracy and consistency before platform ingestion.
• Identify and document data from shadow IT for Application Portfolio Management.
• Define necessary metadata for initial application cataloging.
• Lead sessions with stakeholders to establish business logic and reporting needs.
• Specify requirements for historical ticket data for AI training.
• Develop source-to-target mapping for data integration.
• Support the stabilization of new data platforms.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Excel and Lucidchart.
• Ability to operate at a fast pace with a proactive mindset.
• Experience with SQL/Power BI is desirable.
• Experience with ServiceNow import/export is highly desirable.
• Strong documentation and requirements writing capabilities.
• Ability to gather requirements and lead sessions with stakeholders.
• Understanding of data attributes and hygiene.
• Excellent communication skills for documentation.
