Overview

The Bilingual Information & Referral Specialist is responsible for providing professional service to customers with health and social service needs, assessing and referring them to appropriate services.

In Short

  • Deliver consistent service via phone, email, or in person.
  • Assess customer needs and make accurate referrals.
  • Develop knowledge of health and human services networks.
  • Obtain and maintain Certified Information & Referral certification.
  • Input data for community resource planning.
  • Respond to client needs with empathy and active listening.
  • Support service delivery during emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies.
  • Perform duties effectively in both English and a secondary language.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals respectfully.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms including MS Office and Google Docs.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
  • Must be fluent in English and a secondary language.
