Industrial Design Contractor - Remote

Overview

We are immediately seeking a highly-skilled Industrial Design Contractor for a 1-2 month project-based contract at Cobot. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Design to develop and refine innovative concepts for our robotics systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge designs, iterating rapidly from initial sketches to 3D models, while ensuring alignment with manufacturing and engineering requirements.

In Short

• Collaborate with the Head of Design on design trade-off studies and detail studies.
• Ensure designs consider Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Mechanical Engineering (ME) intent.
• Document trade-off studies for cross-functional teams.
• Deliver 3D CAD files to the ME team as necessary.
• Create quality renderings or presentations for internal discussions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Industrial Design.
• Expertise in 3D CAD design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD).
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on design concepts.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality results.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to start a 1-2 month contract in March.
