In Short

• Manage revenue recognition for contributions, donations, grants, and earned revenue.
• Lead the monthly close process and prepare schedules for the annual audit.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (ASU 958, ASU 606).
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with the Controller for accurate allocation of revenues and expenses.
• Assist in payroll processing and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Contribute to special financial projects supporting the organization’s mission.
• Provide documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Support the development of internal financial policies and procedures.
• Engage with cross-departmental teams for effective collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit accounting.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition for contributions and grants.
• Experience with financial closing processes and audit preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct).
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with nonprofit-specific accounting practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
