This is a temporary position to support Climate Power’s work through the election cycle, focusing on strategic communications to hold policymakers accountable.

In Short

• Lead Climate Power’s accountability communications strategy.
• Draft and distribute press materials.
• Serve as on-the-record spokesperson when necessary.
• Monitor breaking news for accountability messaging opportunities.
• Manage crisis communications and rapid response messaging.
• Collaborate with various teams for unified messaging.
• Pitch stories and secure media coverage.
• Work with partner organizations to maximize impact.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

• 7+ years of communications experience, with 2 years in political communications.
• 3+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Strong storytelling instincts and editorial judgment.
• Experience in rapid-response communications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional team player with strong people skills.
