Release Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Release Engineer will support the continuous delivery of ClickHouse's cloud-based database platform by focusing on tooling, automation, and hands-on execution.

In Short

• Architect and build robust and scalable automation and processes for rollouts and end-to-end tests
• Improve and extend the internal command line tool
• Work closely with cloud and core database teams
• Coordinate and execute deployment, validation, and monitoring of major version upgrades
• Educate and support other teams using internal tools
• Participate in on-call rotation and investigate production issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience in Go or willingness to learn
• Passion for developer experience and automation
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• High level of responsibility and ownership
• Experience with ClickHouse preferred
