Graphic Designer - Remote

Overview

The Graphic Designer will support the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection by creating various marketing and communication materials to promote the agency's work.

In Short

• Assist with design of agency materials and marketing collaterals.
• Provide design support for digital projects, including social media.
• Help develop communications and marketing plans for public education campaigns.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for production of print materials.
• Report to the Senior Graphic Designer.
• Work within the Communications & Marketing Division.
• Engage with diverse communities through multimedia channels.
• Contribute to a culture of compliance in New York City.
• Participate in outreach efforts for consumer and worker protection.
• Eligible for remote work for up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in fine or graphic arts or equivalent experience.
• One year of full-time paid experience as a commercial or graphic artist.
• Two years of training in a technical school in relevant art media.
• Three years of acceptable full-time paid experience as a graphic artist.
• Experience conceptualizing and initiating graphic art projects preferred.
