Overview

The Junior Administrator, Benefits & Payroll plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive benefits administration while ensuring accurate and timely payroll support.

In Short

  • Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding benefits programs.
  • Manage benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Liaise with benefits providers and vendors.
  • Assist with annual benefits renewals and open enrollment planning.
  • Support accurate processing of semi-monthly payroll cycle.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure proper integration.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS.
  • Assist with basic HR audits and compliance checks.
  • Support special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or holding a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation.
  • Pursuing or holding the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation.
  • Strong expertise in benefits administration.
  • Solid understanding of payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with Canadian employment standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong technology skills in Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to learning.
