Overview

As a Senior Product Security Engineer at Cherry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our products as we scale across thousands of medical practices and millions of patient transactions.

In Short

• Partner with product and engineering teams for security design reviews.
• Own and evolve Cherry's product security program.
• Lead security reviews for authentication and authorization systems.
• Assess and improve the security posture of cloud infrastructure.
• Champion security best practices for payment processing.
• Conduct penetration tests and drive remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Build security tooling integrated into the SDLC.
• Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Educate and mentor engineers on security principles.
• Monitor the threat landscape for emerging risks.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in product security or application security.
• Deep expertise in authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices.
• Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating security risks.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
