Onboarding Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Onboarding Senior Accountant is responsible for onboarding new clients and performing accounting clean-up under tight deadlines, emphasizing financial accuracy and compliance.

In Short

• Assist in onboarding new clients ensuring proper recording of financial transactions.
• Provide comprehensive accounting services including accounts receivable and payable.
• Prepare month-end close workbooks and financial statements for multiple clients.
• Track and report restricted funds for net asset roll forward.
• Assist with grant management and reporting.
• Manage audit preparation and coordination.
• Support with 990 preparation and local/state/federal filings.
• Specialized reporting for client decision-making.
• Organize and maintain client files, including prior year audits.
• Work with the controller on analysis, cash flow, and budget preparation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum five years of general accounting experience.
• Preferred experience with multiple clients or entities.
• CPA licensure preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with data management and web-based applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in audit preparation.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented virtual environment.
