Onboarding Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Onboarding Senior Accountant will be responsible for onboarding new clients and ensuring financial accuracy while providing comprehensive accounting services for the nonprofit sector.

In Short

• Assist in onboarding new clients with financial transaction recording.
• Provide comprehensive accounting services including accounts receivable and payable.
• Prepare month-end close workbooks and financial statements.
• Track restricted funds for net asset roll forward.
• Assist with grant management and reporting.
• Manage audit preparation and coordination.
• Prepare 990 and other regulatory filings.
• Support client decision-making with specialized reporting.
• Organize and maintain client files.
• Collaborate with the controller on analysis and budgeting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of five years general accounting experience.
• Multiple client experience preferred.
• CPA licensure preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with data management and web-based applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, QuickBooks Online, and NetSuite.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in audit preparation.
• Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
