Interim CFO and Controller Opportunities - Remote

Overview

CFGI is expanding its Private Equity Services practice and is seeking experienced Controllers and CFOs for interim advisory projects.

In Short

• Lead post-closing accounting and finance initiatives for private equity-backed enterprises.
• Accelerate month-end closing processes and ensure accuracy.
• Manage day-to-day accounting functions and team guidance.
• Prepare and deliver board packages and presentations.
• Analyze financial information and business trends.
• Develop performance measures aligned with strategic direction.
• Maintain relations with private equity sponsors.
• Oversee financial operations of subsidiaries.
• Supervise acquisition due diligence and integration.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Prior experience as a Controller, VP Finance, or CFO for at least five years.
• Experience in high-growth PE-backed companies.
• Expertise in lender compliance and financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills with PE sponsor deal teams.
• Ability to optimize financial statement closing processes.
• Self-starter with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Multi-industry discipline and public accounting experience is a plus.
