School Based Mental Health Specialist - Remote

Overview

The School-Based Mental Health Specialist will provide high-quality behavioral health outreach, linkage, consultation and collaboration between Centennial and school districts.

In Short

• Provide consultation and support to K-12 schools and districts utilizing the Multi-Tiered System of Support.
• Attend monthly school-based mental health supervision.
• Serve as primary contact for school districts for referrals and consultations.
• Coordinate prevention trainings in schools.
• Implement on-site consultation, training, and support.
• Complete reporting requirements for funding sources.
• Maintain accurate and timely records.
• Attend Interagency Oversight Group meetings.
• Travel frequently to various school districts.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s preferred or Bachelor’s in education or behavioral health required.
• Travel required within Centennial's 10 county catchment area.
• Experience working with educators, children, and adolescents.
• Knowledge related to prevention and intervention for school-aged children.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Flexibility to adjust to new situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy.
