Overview

As a Senior Engineer, Open World at CD PROJEKT RED, you’ll be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of our technology for Open World systems, collaborating with various teams to create immersive gaming experiences.

• Design and maintain Open World and Engine systems.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and quality of core components.
• Develop tools and debug utilities for Open World development.
• Collaborate with designers to create a believable living world.
• Partner with various teams to define technical scopes and timelines.
• Debug and resolve technical challenges across large-scale systems.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain clean, modular code.
• Document technical standards and collaborate on rapid prototyping.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in game programming or related roles.
• Experience shipping at least one game.
• Expertise in C++ and experience with Unreal Engine.
• Strong understanding of game engine architecture and algorithms.
• Advanced experience with gameplay systems design.
• Solid debugging skills for complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio and developer workflows.
• Mentoring experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• Comfortable with agile working methods.
