Overview

As a Senior Engineer, Animation at CD PROJEKT RED, you’ll be responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of our Animation technology for Open World systems, collaborating with various teams to create innovative animation features.

• Designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining Animation technology for Open World systems.
• Taking ownership of core animation systems ensuring scalability, performance, and quality.
• Developing tools and debug utilities to streamline development.
• Collaborating with animators and other specialists.
• Partnering with design, QA, production, and other teams.
• Debugging, profiling, and resolving technical challenges.
• Conducting code reviews and maintaining clean code.
• Defining and documenting technical standards.
• Collaborating on rapid prototyping and R&D.

Requirements

• Extensive programming experience in game development.
• Experience in shipping at least one game.
• Expertise in C++ and experience in Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
• Strong understanding of game engine architecture and multi-threaded systems.
• Advanced experience with animation systems.
• Solid debugging skills.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio.
• Willingness to exchange constructive feedback.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with agile ways of working.
