Gameplay Animator - Remote

Overview

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Gameplay Animator to join our team working on Project Sirius - an original video game combining beloved aspects of The Witcher world with immersive multiplayer gameplay. The Gameplay Animator will have a solid understanding of current AAA-quality animation techniques and software, and use these skills to bring to life the characters and monsters that populate the game world.

In Short

• Work with design, art, engineering, and narrative teams to refine character and creature movement.
• Create stylized motion captured and keyframe animations for humans and creatures.
• Implement animations into the Unreal 5 engine.
• Participate in technical and aesthetic problem-solving discussions.
• 5+ years game industry experience as a character or gameplay animator.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating animation skillset.
• Maya and MotionBuilder proficiency.
• Experience with Motion Capture data and Unreal Engine 5.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong understanding of anatomy for believable animations.

Requirements

• 5+ years game industry experience as a character or gameplay animator.
• A portfolio that demonstrates a strong animation skillset.
• Maya proficiency.
• MotionBuilder experience.
• Experience with Motion Capture data.
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• Knowledge of current game industry animation trends.
• Experience integrating animations into state machines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong understanding of anatomy.
