ERW Geochemical Modeling Consultant - Remote

Overview

The ERW Geochemical Modeling Consultant will support Cascade Climate in advancing Enhanced Rock Weathering as a climate-smart agriculture and carbon removal solution through collaboration and model development.

In Short

• Part-time role, 10-20 hours per week.
• Facilitate collaboration among ERW modeling teams.
• Support development of a capabilities map of existing ERW models.
• Articulate goals and performance metrics for ERW modeling research.
• Coordinate between academic modelers and field researchers.
• Demonstrated experience in soil and groundwater (bio)geochemistry.
• Deep understanding of inorganic soil chemistry.
• Comfort with statistical methods and error propagation.
• Ph.D. or equivalent work history in relevant fields.
• Collaborative outlook with experience in cross-institutional research.

Requirements

• Experience with numerical models for soil systems.
• Knowledge of reactive transport models.
• Experience with experimental design in soil systems.
• Familiarity with AI-based model development.
• Understanding of ERW and carbon removal approaches.
