Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Intensive In Home - Remote

Overview

This role will focus on Mental Health Counseling with emphasis on prevention. Will work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health.

In Short

• Perform assessments and behavioral screening as assigned and update as required.
• Provide therapy to children and adolescents between the ages of 3-17.
• Complete both intake and discharge clinical assessments.
• Maintain identified (# of Hours) weekly Medicaid billable hours.
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
• Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives.
• Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
• Counsel clients and patients, individually and in group sessions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years experience working with the MH/SA/DD population.
• Active unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in North Carolina.
• Master's degree in social work or mental health counseling from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience providing mental health services to clients in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating mental health conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
