Data Quality Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the guardian of our data's integrity, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and robustness of the systems that power our operations and analytics.

In Short

• Partner closely with data engineering, operational, and analytics teams to understand business requirements and define data quality standards.
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive testing strategies for complex data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Validate data transformations and ensure the flawless execution of data systems built with Python, dbt, SQLAlchemy, Airflow, Snowflake, and Redshift.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues, tracing root causes and implementing preventative measures.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure the ongoing reliability and integrity of our data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
• 1+ years of proven experience in a data-focused role (e.g., Data Quality, Data Engineering, Analytics) with a track record of testing and validating complex data pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex data systems to identify potential failure points.
• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A meticulous, detail-oriented mindset with a passion for ensuring data accuracy.
