Transportation Analyst - Remote

Overview

Mid America Logistics is growing—and we’re looking for a data-driven Transportation Analyst to join our remote team. This role will help optimize freight operations by analyzing transportation data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing insights that drive smarter logistics decisions.

In Short

• Analyze shipping and freight data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Build dashboards and visual reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate findings.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rate, cost-per-mile, deadhead percentage, and load acceptance/rejection rate.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, brokers, and operations to implement efficiency solutions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and rate analysis using historical transportation data.
• Integrate with TMS platforms to pull accurate and timely reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Logistics, Business, or similar field.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation/logistics analytics (preferred).
• Proven ability to interpret data and tell a story through numbers.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working remotely and independently.
