Policy Development Intern - Remote

Overview

CALSTART is seeking a highly motivated Policy Development Intern to support its Policy Program Manager and contribute to projects that impact policy engagement in clean transportation.

In Short

• Research on clean transportation topics and ZEV policies.
• Prepare materials for meetings including presentations and summaries.
• Create written reports on legislative and regulatory briefs.
• Develop best practice case studies and fact sheets.
• Edit and produce an internal policy newsletter.
• Work independently in a remote environment.
• Communicate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and task management skills required.
• Experience in non-profit and policy work preferred.
• Currently pursuing a relevant degree.

Requirements

• Completed at least three years of college/university coursework.
• Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience in clean transportation policy is preferred.
