In Short

  • Work on highly complex engineering assignments in transmission system planning.
  • Participate in WECC planning studies and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Perform technical analyses and support economic assessments of the transmission grid.
  • Implement Transmission Planning Process and Generation Interconnection Process.
  • Identify and resolve engineering-related problems.
  • Provide guidance and technical support related to transmission systems.
  • Compile, analyze, and submit data in compliance with standards.
  • Represent the ISO's interests in industry forums.
  • May provide training to Associate Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Two or more years of related experience.
  • Experience in the electric utility industry, focusing on power system planning.
  • Ability to run power flow programs like GE-PSLF.
  • Knowledge of statistics and energy management is desirable.
  • Registered California Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineering License preferred.
  • Good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
