Overview

The Tax Manager is responsible for leading the tax department and ensuring accurate and timely processing of tax returns for the Firm.

In Short

• Manage daily workflow of tasks for assigned clients.
• Complete final reviews of tax returns.
• Oversee Tax Admin Specialist.
• Provide updates to Senior Manager.
• Work with Senior Tax Managers for tax season preparation.
• Collaborate with Tax Advisors on annual tax preparation.
• Address questions from planning teams.
• Create and present tax training materials.
• Mentor Tax Advisors.
• Participate in recruiting process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field.
• CPA or EA required.
• 8+ years’ experience in public accounting.
• Experience with Lacerte tax preparation software.
• Thorough knowledge of tax laws.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience managing a team preferred.
