In Short

• Design, build, and maintain forecasting models to predict demand across products, distributors, and customer locations.
• Leverage statistical models (ARIMA, exponential smoothing), machine learning (XGBoost), and deep learning (TFT, LSTM with TensorFlow).
• Explore and integrate external signals to improve forecast accuracy.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to align model outputs with business use cases.
• Build clean, efficient data pipelines in Python using pandas and SQL.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance using appropriate error metrics.
• Develop automated evaluation and retraining workflows for long-term scalability.
• Document methodology, assumptions, and model limitations.
• Present results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Propose model improvements and prioritize projects based on business value.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in data science with a focus on forecasting.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and pandas.
• Strong knowledge of forecasting models including ARIMA, Prophet, XGBoost, and TensorFlow-based models.
• Solid understanding of SQL for querying large datasets.
• Experience with model evaluation metrics and time series cross-validation techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud tools (e.g., AWS S3, EC2).
• Strong communication skills for translating model results into business recommendations.
• Experience in the restaurant or foodservice industry is a plus.
