Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and Payroll - Remote

Overview

Business Wire is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting and Payroll to oversee global payroll operations, compensation accounting, and the administration of Workday system configuration and related reporting.

In Short

• Manage global payroll processing and team leadership.
• Ensure compliance with local labor and tax regulations.
• Oversee payroll-related journal entries and GL activity.
• Administer Workday configurations and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with HR and Corporate Accountants.
• Drive improvements in payroll accounting processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain expert level understanding of multi-state payroll tax compliance.
• Lead configuration of international payroll setups within Workday.
• Participate in payroll tasks related to benefits and salary adjustments.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Workday Payroll configuration experience.
• 5+ years of compensation accounting experience.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with ADP and Oracle EBS interface.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
• Expert level of experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA is a plus.
• Ability to manage payroll matters with discretion.
