Overview

DriveTime Family of Brands is seeking an IBM iSeries (AS/400) RPG Engineer to support and modernize core systems, contributing to the development and maintenance of mission-critical applications.

In Short

  • Design, develop, and maintain RPG applications on the IBM iSeries platform.
  • Develop and optimize DB2 database queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts and software engineers.
  • Contribute to modernizing legacy applications and integrating with cloud-based services.
  • Provide expert support for RPG applications.
  • Maintain technical documentation and enforce coding standards.
  • Experience with modernization efforts and cloud solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of RPG development experience.
  • Strong experience with IBM iSeries architecture.
  • Experience in full stack .NET development.
  • Familiarity with CL programming and job scheduling.
  • Experience with unit testing and performance tuning.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex applications.
  • Understanding of the full SDLC.
  • Knowledge of Pega or Informatica is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation practices.
  • Prior experience in an Azure/Microsoft environment preferred.
