Director of Artificial Intelligence - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Director of AI to lead our AI strategy and implementation, responsible for designing and executing AI initiatives that improve operational efficiency, enhance client service delivery, and unlock new business opportunities.

In Short

• Develop and own the AI vision and execution roadmap for the firm.
• Identify and prioritize AI/ML opportunities across departments and client engagements.
• Analyze internal business operations to implement AI tools for increased productivity.
• Design AI-enhanced offerings in collaboration with consulting teams.
• Build or integrate AI tools tailored to consulting and professional services needs.
• Lead AI adoption through training and documentation.
• Establish ethical guidelines for AI use at Caravel.
• Monitor AI system performance, data security, and compliance.
• Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning with AI.
• Work cross-functionally to assess operations and implement scalable AI solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and implementing AI solutions in a business or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, generative AI (LLMs), NLP, and automation platforms.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in tools such as OpenAI, Azure/AWS AI/ML services, Python, or low-code AI platforms.
• Experience in ERP, consulting, or SaaS businesses (preferred).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field.
