Overview

The Project and Science Associate at Blue Forest plays a critical role in advancing innovative conservation finance projects, focusing on wildfire resilience, watershed health, and community benefit.

In Short

• Support the development of multiple FRB projects from conception to execution.
• Coordinate and contribute to science efforts, communications, and partnerships.
• Manage relationships with project partners and stakeholders.
• Develop written materials and presentations for project development.
• Support ecosystem benefit modeling and evaluation.
• Enhance internal knowledge sharing and develop system processes.
• Facilitate community engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
• Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion into all workstreams.
• Foster relationships with project development partners.
• Act as a liaison between science and project development teams.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant work or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of conservation finance and ecosystem services.
• Experience in GIS and science modeling.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Passion for restoring ecosystems and community engagement.
• Experience with the USDA Forest Service or utilities is a plus.
