Overview

The Principal/Senior Research Officers (Climate Adaptation) will assist with the preparation of the AI4AAI programme, focusing on the use of blockchain and emerging digital technologies for climate adaptation in Africa.

In Short

• Conduct research and analysis on blockchain and digital technologies for climate adaptation.
• Develop and implement pilot projects for AAI activities.
• Research climate change adaptation methods and tools.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including governments and civil society.
• Monitor and evaluate pilot project outcomes.
• Support working groups on renewable energy and carbon trading.
• Write grant proposals and reports.
• Provide technical support on climate adaptation.
• Promote BCI at conferences and events.

Requirements

• Experience in research related to climate adaptation.
• Knowledge of blockchain and AI technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in grant writing is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to volunteer 8 hours per week.
