Senior QA Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior QA Engineer at Blackthorn, you will be part of an elite team, testing solutions that solve our most critical business priorities. You will work closely with various departments to understand our customers' most pressing needs and provide technical expertise to optimize our testing, prevent issues, and ensure we deliver high quality products. This role requires advanced skills in test automation, performance testing, and mentoring junior team members.

In Short

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Review tickets (bugs, enhancements, new features) and other technical documents to engage in each phase of the software development lifecycle
• Create, run, repair, manual, and automated tests using frameworks like Playwright
• Plan and build automated testing frameworks that integrate with development workflows
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate, and perform quality testing activities
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional scrum teams and across the larger company
• Demonstrate best practices in everything you do, including meaningful test coverage
• Mentor junior QA team members and advocate for quality standards
• Design and maintain test data strategies
• Design and execute performance testing strategies

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience with demonstrated expertise in test automation
• 3+ years of testing on the Salesforce platform
• Experience with test automation frameworks, particularly Playwright
• Proficiency in programming languages for test automation
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
• Performance testing experience with relevant tools
• Experience testing mobile applications
• Experience managing test data lifecycles
• Excellent English communication skills
• Self-directed and adaptable
