Overview

The Senior Administrative Assistant provides high-quality administrative support to the BioMarin Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Medical Writing Teams, ensuring effective communication and management of interactions with external partners and personnel.

In Short

  • Proactively schedule and manage meetings and conference calls.
  • Arrange details for offsite meetings and team-building events.
  • Assist with business travel planning and coordination.
  • Prepare expense reports and maintain office supplies.
  • Coordinate with IT to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Manage leadership and department calendars.
  • Create/update project trackers and assist in document preparation.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Handle competing priorities and tight deadlines effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role.
  • Experience in Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Medical Writing is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and be proactive.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
