Biller - Remote

Overview

The Biller is responsible for managing the billing process from claim creation through reimbursement, ensuring accurate and timely revenue collection.

In Short

• Manage the billing process from claim creation to reimbursement.
• Submit claims to insurance companies and resolve denials.
• Post payments and ensure accuracy in revenue collection.
• Review and apply correct CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Contact insurance companies regarding unpaid claims.
• Meet monthly post goals and deadlines.
• Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental goals.
• Generate and send patient statements.
• Identify overpaid accounts and initiate refunds.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Must be a Certified Professional Coder.
• 3+ years of medical billing experience.
• Experience with Electronic Response Admittance (ERAs) and EOBs.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Podiatry experience is a plus.
• ECW experience is a plus.
