Substance Use Counselor - Remote

By combining virtual and in-person counseling, community support, and access to life-saving medication, we help people move beyond addiction to find belonging, love, and purpose.

In Short

• Interact regularly with clients, referral sources, field staff, and community members.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions for clients.
• Utilize evidence-based curriculum guides and training.
• Provide feedback and maintain clinical progress notes.
• Counsel one-on-one with clients when necessary.
• Participate in community research and data collection efforts.
• Formulate and maintain treatment plans for clients.
• Collaborate with community partners on case management.
• Adhere to professional and ethical work standards.
• Attend regular training and company meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Graduate degree in mental health, social work, psychology, addictions or related field.
• Maine License as LADC, CADC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCISW.
• 2-3 years of experience in substance use or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel within Maine.
