Overview

The Senior Assurance Accountant is responsible for developing expertise in accounting principles, drafting financial statements, and effectively supervising engagements while maintaining strong client relationships.

Develop command of GAAP and OCBOA accounting principles
Draft financial statements and reports
Supervise assurance and non-assurance engagements
Communicate effectively with clients
Train and evaluate staff accountants
Participate in planning and scheduling client assignments
Meet time constraints and client deadlines
Pursue CPA license
Ensure quality of work and compliance with standards
Maintain good relationships with clients and staff

Requirements

Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree
3-5 years’ experience as a staff accountant
CPA certified or candidate for CPA exam
Membership in AICPA and NCACPA
Proficiency in accounting software
Valid driver’s license
