Overview

The Senior Full-Stack Web Developer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining Berklee's digital platforms, including the main website and associated subdomains. This position combines advanced technical expertise with strategic thinking to create scalable and innovative web and mobile solutions that enhance the user experience and align with Berklee's strategic objectives.

In Short

Design and maintain Berklee's digital platforms.
Develop and enhance legacy code in Ruby/Ruby on Rails, PHP, and React.
Collaborate on system architecture design and UI/UX.
Lead code reviews and establish development standards.
Mentor team members and foster a culture of growth.
Stay current with emerging technologies.
Provide technical documentation and contribute to the development lifecycle.
Translate design specifications into functional websites.
Ensure optimal user-centered design outcomes.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
Expertise in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
Experience with PHP, focusing on Drupal and WordPress.
Strong understanding of front-end technologies.
Experience with server management and hosting environments.
Knowledge of API development and Agile methodologies.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
