Overview

The Cloud Data Engineer supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of data pipelines and predictive analytics workflows within Bentley’s cloud data ecosystem, ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.

• Develop cloud-based data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data extraction and transformation.
• Collaborate with data users to support analytics and machine learning workflows.
• Utilize Python or R for data preparation and transformation tasks.
• Assist in deploying predictive models within a cloud environment.
• Partner with business users to clarify data and reporting requirements.
• Design and support data warehouse structures for reporting and ML readiness.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs and model pipelines.
• Implement logging and monitoring processes for data reliability.
• Contribute to metadata management tools in collaboration with the governance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Experience with the Azure data ecosystem and tools like Azure Synapse.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data integration tools.
• Hands-on experience with Python or R for data tasks.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
