Senior Engineer, CI/CD - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our growing Platform Infrastructure Engineering Group. In this role, you will work closely with key technical partners across the organization to ensure that BenchSci’s development tooling and engineering practices can support our long-term growth.

• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to improve and scale CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with engineering teams to enhance development tooling and frameworks.
• Lead software and system design projects using cloud-native patterns.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to individual contributors.
• Participate in project planning and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Advocate for the engineering team through various channels.
• Translate business concerns into technical implementations.
• Plan and execute complex projects impacting multiple teams.
• Work with major public cloud providers.
• Maintain and scale build tools for large monorepo codebases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development experience, with 2 years at a Senior level.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
• Deep understanding of Python and its ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of containerization and Docker.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code solutions like Terraform.
• Experience with build tools like Bazel or Buck is an asset.
• Ability to guide decision-making among team members.
• Track record of planning and executing complex projects.
• Experience with public cloud providers like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
