Overview

The Director Tax Planning/Tax Counsel plays a key role in planning and implementing BD’s global tax strategy, partnering with various departments to lead tax due diligence and structuring for new opportunities and acquisitions.

In Short

• Lead operational tax planning and strategy implementation.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Tax, Economics, Accounting, Business, or Finance.
• J.D. required; CFA or CPA preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in a corporate tax department.
• Experience with legal tax structures and TCJA.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop others.
• Strong aptitude for tax technology and process improvements.
• Self-starter with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to adapt to change and manage conflict professionally.
