Overview

As a Frontend Engineer at Bastion, you’ll play a critical role in crafting exceptional user experiences across our core products. You'll lead the development of elegant, responsive, and accessible interfaces, transforming complex requirements into simple and performant UIs. Your work will directly shape how users interact with Bastion’s compliance and fintech tools, impacting everything from initial onboarding to real-time workflows.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces
• Translate product and design specs into polished, production-ready React components
• Develop and maintain scalable frontend architecture and reusable component libraries
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Integrate APIs and manage asynchronous data flows
• Optimize performance through bundling strategies and code splitting
• Write robust test coverage using modern testing frameworks
• Apply security best practices to prevent frontend vulnerabilities
• Contribute to frontend build and CI/CD workflows
• Document patterns, decisions, and best practices for maintainability

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS and responsive layout techniques
• Deep experience integrating with RESTful APIs and familiarity with backend technologies
• Proficient in frontend performance optimization and tooling
• Experience writing and maintaining test suites
• Familiarity with web security principles and mitigation
• Comfortable with Git workflows and CI/CD practices
• Experience collaborating closely with designers
• Self-starter with a track record of project ownership
• Professional experience in fintech or financial systems
