Overview

The Principal Advisor for Climate and Wildfire Mitigation will play a critical role in the Avangrid Emergency Management department, focusing on the development and implementation of comprehensive mitigation strategies for the company.

• Lead and coordinate overall company strategy for Climate and Wildfire Mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in emergency management or related field.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in software for risk assessment and planning.
• Utility experience in California is preferred.
• Certification in emergency management is a plus.
• Experience with GIS and mapping tools is advantageous.
