Overview

The Senior Cloud Engineer is a pivotal role responsible for managing and optimizing core infrastructure and services that empower all engineering teams across the organization.

In Short

• Design, build, and manage highly scalable, secure, and available infrastructure operating 24x7.
• Ensure Auctane infrastructure platforms are secure and can scale to support rapid growth.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure platforms with high security and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for deployment and operations.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams for application reliability and scalability.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and resolve issues proactively.
• Manage cloud hygiene practices for efficient resource utilization and cost management.
• Oversee SaaS product permissions, contracts, costs, and licenses.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers, fostering continuous improvement.
• Provide out of hours support as needed.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS in a production environment.
• Experience in DevOps or Systems Engineering with a focus on automation.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Engineering principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
• Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting expertise.
