Overview

As a Controller at Attentive, you will play a critical role in scaling the finance organization and ensuring a robust foundation of financial controls, reporting, and operational excellence.

In Short

• Lead the Accounting Function ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Manage key functions including Accounting, Billing and Collections, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Tax teams.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team promoting ownership and accountability.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure SOX 404 compliance.
• Drive process optimization and identify opportunities for automation.
• Lead all external audit engagements and ensure compliance.
• Own the adoption of new accounting standards and maintain policies.
• Work closely with FP&A, Legal, and other stakeholders for financial alignment.
• Monitor financial risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Liaise with senior leadership to support strategic goals.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth tech company.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams.
• Strong business acumen for strategic and operational execution.
• Proven experience collaborating with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and IT teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• Preferred: Big 4 public accounting experience.
