AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.

In Short

  • Assist the Regulatory Affairs team as a Legal Intern.
  • Work closely with in-house and outside counsel.
  • Draft FCC license applications and regulatory documents.
  • Summarize and analyze regulatory filings and decisions.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with compliance activities.
  • Preferred education: Current JD candidate at an accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated interest in space, communications, or administrative law.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Experience with legal research platforms and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Based in the Washington, DC area for in-person meetings.

Requirements

  • Current JD candidate (rising 2L or 3L) at an accredited law school.
  • Any relevant work experience or demonstrated interest/coursework in space, communications, or administrative law.
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Attention to detail for accuracy in documentation.
  • Experience with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Familiarity with document management tools (e.g., SharePoint, iManage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
