Geotechnical Study Engineer H/F - Remote

Overview

As a Geotechnical Study Engineer, you will contribute to the development of activities within the Civil Engineering department, working in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team.

In Short

• Master the design and sizing rules for geotechnical structures under static and seismic loads.
• Perform calculations for deep foundations (piles, micropiles, etc.).
• Calculate earth retention systems (Berlin walls, sheet piles, etc.).
• Calculate slope stability.
• Calculate soil reinforcement (ballasted columns, soil substitution, etc.).
• Draft sizing notes.
• Write study notes: geotechnical assumptions, construction principles, geotechnical structure choices, technical specifications, etc.
• Estimate project costs and timelines.

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac +5) in Engineering or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience in similar positions.
• Good knowledge in geology, geotechnics, and material resistance.
• Experience in numerical modeling principles, especially in Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI).
• Experience with geotechnical calculation and modeling software (Plaxis, Talren) is a plus.
• Strong collaborative work ethic and communication skills.
