Senior Surgical Specialist, Gene Therapy Delivery, CNS - Remote

Overview

The Senior Surgical Specialist, Gene Therapy Delivery, CNS will support clinical neurosurgeons in delivering AskBio gene therapies as part of clinical trials, working collaboratively with the CNS Gene Therapy Team and Site Neurosurgical Principal Investigators.

In Short

• Support surgical delivery of gene therapies at neurosurgical sites in Europe.
• Assist in educational programs for surgeons and staff.
• Develop site-specific surgical workflows.
• Create and update educational materials.
• Facilitate coordination of novel medical devices and imaging protocols.
• Deliver training to Neurosurgical PIs.
• Build relationships with site PIs and neurosurgical KOLs.
• Attend neurosurgical procedures to support studies.
• Maintain compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on scientific literature and advancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in science, nursing, or biomedical engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant experience for Bachelor's or 6+ years for Master's.
• Experience with neurosurgical devices.
• Familiarity with brain imaging modalities (MRI, CT).
• Strong instructional abilities and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
