Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is the external facing medical-scientific expert in Medical Affairs at Ascendis Pharma who communicates confidently about our products using clinical and scientific expertise.

In Short

• Serve as the field-based external facing medical representation of Medical Affairs
• Create awareness of Ascendis Pharma in the endocrinology community
• Maintain high level of medical expertise to support the portfolio/pipeline
• Provide medical/scientific presentations to internal and external audiences
• Identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) and key organizations for disease states
• Develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan
• Capture external insights about the disease state and communicate to internal stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with internal colleagues
• Participate in the development and implementation of Field Medical Team strategic goals
• Support clinical trial operations and document activities in the CRM platform

Requirements

• Experience in Medical Affairs or related field
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build relationships with KOLs and healthcare providers
• Knowledge of endocrinology and related disease states
• Experience with clinical trials and scientific research
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
