SQL Server Database Administrator - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to manage and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments, with expertise in backup and restore processes, query optimization, logging and monitoring, authentication and authorization, and the upgrade and retirement of legacy systems.

• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CDK and Terraform.
• Manage cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Long-term contract position with W2 or 1099 options.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in backup and restore strategies, query optimization, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization architectures.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CDK and Terraform.
• Experience working with both Windows and GNU/Linux environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
