Senior SQL Server Database Administrator - Remote

We are currently recruiting for a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator based out of our corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois. The position is eligible to participate in a hybrid schedule.

In Short

• Install, configure, and maintain database servers and processes.
• Respond promptly to and resolve database-related alerts, emails, and tickets.
• Identify trends and patterns in support requests.
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
• Maintain schema changes and scripts using version control.
• Follow established team standards and recommend improvements.
• Document and update processes and procedures.
• Take ownership of assigned deliverables.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Seven (7) plus years of MS SQL Server database administration experience.
• One (1) year of PowerShell experience preferred.
• Proficiency in T-SQL scripting, query optimization, and stored procedure development preferred.
• Experience with SSIS and MS Azure preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively present technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables.
