AWS Architect - Remote

Overview

The AWS Architect will architect, develop, and maintain a cloud environment for both commercial and government AWS cloud, working closely with software engineers and DevOps teams.

In Short

• Long term contract position for 2+ years
• 100% remote within the continental US
• Build and maintain IaaS and PaaS infrastructure in AWS
• Work with development teams to establish SLOs, SLAs, and SLIs
• Implement automation and monitoring for production systems
• Strong experience with AWS services and Kubernetes required
• Support infrastructure in production cloud environments
• Experience with compliance standards like FedRAMP and NIST
• Collaborate on platform services development
• Champion automation and improvement of operational processes

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a cloud architect
• 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering/SRE roles
• Expert knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with Terraform and monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of networking protocols
• Knowledge of IAM and encryption standards
• Experience with RESTful services
• Familiarity with source control tools
