Integration Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an Integration Engineer with a strong background in third-party integrations to join our SmartBidder team. The SmartBidder team is growing quickly and is directly impacting the clean energy transition by helping Ascend’s clients realize the value of renewable energy and storage projects.

In Short

• Collaborate with clients and third-party engineers to ensure proper hand-off from sales to implementation.
• Scope, design, develop, and implement integrations with third-party solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues and evaluate new requirements.
• Develop a common framework for integrating third-party software.
• Drive internal API, alerting, and QA design and development.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of implemented solutions.
• Partner with the customer success team to project-manage integration work.
• Participate as primary technical support for the platform.
• Own deployment of individual new releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years experience in implementing third-party integrations.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience with data structures and API schemas.
• Understanding of security requirements of integration work.
• Tenacity to navigate ambiguity and gather clear requirements.
• Ability to work on multiple workstreams in parallel.
• Familiarity with project management.
